Shoalhaven City Council have asked locals to be a part of the new Millards Creek Corridor Bushcare Group.
A Bushcare information day on Saturday 23 July 2016 from 1-4pm on the front lawn of the Ulladulla Civic Centre for those interested in learning more about the group.
Mayor Joanna Gash said the information day will be a great way for residents to learn more about volunteering with the group and assisting in conserving the Shoalhaven’s natural environment.
“Everybody knows that we live in a beautiful part of the world and we are very lucky in the Shoalhaven to have over 70 Bushcare groups working to preserve our natural environment,” Clr Gash said.
“Council has identified some sections of Millards Creek that are in need of extra attention and we would like to involve the local community in the restoration works.
“The information day is a great way to get a hands-on educational experience and meet new people in your local community while preserving this distinctive location.”
For more information on the event please contact Shoalhaven Bushcare Coordinator, Alasdair Stratton on 4429 3592 or bushcare@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au.
