Growing up in Milton Bronwyn discovered a love of singing and opera through watching old movies with her mum, Andrea.
When she moved away to go to boarding school in year 11 and 12 she began to develop her passion for singing through school choirs and finally ended up at the Australian National University school of music.
She also completed a Masters in Operatic Performance at Griffith University.
“I’ve been singing classically for the last seven years,” Bronwyn said.
“I’m doing it full time freelancing and at corporate events,” she said.

After completing her studies Bronwyn moved closer to home and has settled in Sydney, making frequent trips to see her parents who still live in Milton.
Competitions are high on her list of commitments and she will compete in Sydney and Noosa in QLD this week. Currently she also holds the Amelia Joscelyne Memorial Scholarship through the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust.
Bronwyn spends her life flitting from state to state for performances, with a packed schedule through July and August but says she loves it.
“The thing that got me addicted is the work,” she said.
“I find an area I can improve and I love improving it.
Her favourite songs to perform are arias. In operatic terms these are songs full of emotion. She has added a few to the program for the Ulladulla concert.
Along with arias there will be a mix of of English and foreign language pieces.
Accompanying her at the Milton Ulladulla Music concert will be Bradley Gilchrist. The pair are good friends.
Bradley has completed a Bachelor of Music at the WA Conservatorium of Music, and post-graduate studies in accompaniment and piano performance in Sydney and Madrid.
He has numerous concerto performances to his name including the Khachaturian Concerto workshop with the WA Symphony Orchestra, the Grieg Concerto with the Slovakia Philharmonic Orchestra and Beethoven’s First and Second Concertos with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra.
He has performed around the world in solo and chamber music recitals.
The pair will raise the roof at the next Milton Ulladulla Music concert on July 31 at the St Martins Church Hall from 2pm. Entry is $25 and children are free if accompanied by an adult.
