After a four week lay off from football due to byes, representative football and forfeits, the dockers were ready to roll, with Luke Evans embarrassing the Dogs forwards early and Matt ‘the mop’ Graham providing elite service off the halfback line.
The Dockers nabbed a couple early and took a 14-8 lead into the break.
The Dockers took a little while to adjust to the wind advantage in the second quarter, however the Dockers took a commanding five goal lead into the main break.
The third term was a bit of a hard slog as the Dockers pushed into the wind, struggling to get the Sherrin out of their own end.
The Dockers ground out the final term in what really was a shocking day for footy. The final siren saw the Dockers home for a good win 59-36, putting them in top spot.
