Kylie Louise Strickland, 33, of Nineveh Close, faced charges of gaining financial advantage by deception and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
Police had been investigating mail theft and fraudulent use of credit cards from Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Shoalhaven Heads during February and March and arrested Strickland and a co-accused after stopping a vehicle on Moss Vale Road, Cambewarra early on March 4.
Court documents stated between February 19 and March 4 this year, Strickland used a stolen Commonwealth Bank Mastercard at Kangaroo Valley, Shoalhaven Heads, Bomaderry and Nowra purchasing a number of items including petrol, cigarettes, mobile phone recharges, ice creams, packets of Twisties and drinks at various service stations.
She was also found in possession of envelopes, bank statements and other cards belonging to a number of different people.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming sentenced Strickland to nine months’ jail from June 27 with a non-parole period of two months.
