The top three players in each age group from eight players receive automatic qualification to the JDS State Championships in November with a wildcard offered to an additional selected player.
Close matches were the order of the day with results decided on game scores, playing a round robin against each player in best-of-six-game matches.
Ryan and Riley both qualified to play in the State Championships with Ryan winning the 16 and under boys division by one game over the runner-up.
Riley needed a 6-0 finish in his last match to achieve 3rd place and with nerves of steel got the result with the match being his best of the day.
Natasha finished the day in 5th place but was only 2 games off placing 3rd and was thrilled to find out a few days later that she was given a wildcard into the State Titles.
Congratulations to all players and their coach Kevin Murphy on a fantastic achievement.
