At 11.20pm on May 14, Duck was at the Ulladulla ExServos standing near the bar when the victim walked past.
The victim said ‘hey’, Duck’s response was a headbutt.
As a result of the unprovoked attack, the victim was knocked back onto the bar and dropped her drink. Duck then walked off.
She later went to the victim’s work and apologised and also told police she was disgusted with her own behaviour, acknowledging alcohol had played a part in the assault.
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie said it was a “serious offence of violence”.
Magistrate Beattie took into account there was a previous feud between the victim and Duck.
“That is you taking the law into your own hands,” she said.
“You don’t do that.”
Duck was convicted and placed on a 12 month good behaviour bond.
