Easter has been good.
We thankfully had all the moons align for an incredible run of waves which fed famine surfers for the last 7 days all up and down the South Coast.
Not only did the Easter bunny deliver delicious chocolate wrapped in brightly coloured foil but he also dropped off a big chunk of swell from the south-east and it lazed about like a an old man trapped in a bean bag for the entire week.
As we look towards the Anzac Day weekend the waves should still be wafting around for more surf action.
Gotta love autumn.
Kamikaze started to roar on Good Friday.
Deciding to test it out for the first time was the fearless young lady named Turia Pitt.
With a swell with heaps of oomph amongst it, it was pretty brave of Turia to even contemplate the challenge.
But being the warrior she is there was never any doubt or question of not getting out there.
Once she made it out the back and witnessed some solid 8ft bombs detonating on the reef she stroked down a little and watched on gobsmacked by the sheer power the waves possess.
Finding her in the line-up was former world champ Pam Burridge who looked over and decided to take her under her wing, sneaking her into a few smaller ones down the line.

It was epic to see the two legendary ladies in the water, just both super stoked.
That's what surfing is all about.
Collers reef was another location on the pump over the long weekend and with a cast of 60 surfers consistently stalking the line up it was never short of action.
Sean Chivers was one of those who took his time and picked up some of the better waves as some solid 6ft plus sets belted the bay harder than a drunk dad in the 1950's disciplining his wayward kids.
Sean who has had a bit of time out of the water didn't waste time as he rode wave after wave.
Bells is on as I type and the surfers who look the goods have been Mick Fanning, John John and Owen Wright.
With the waves on the pump, surfing as you can imagine has been next level.
The sentimental old man in me would love to see Mick claim another title and Steph Gilmore in the ladies.
