THE Ulladulla High School under 15 boys basketball team put on a spectacular performance at the recent South Coast zone knockout competition.

Held at the Shoalhaven Basketball Stadium on Wednesday, August 9, the team led by captain Ziad El Tobgy and coached by Matt Williams, dominated all that came before them.
The team started the knockout competition by taking on Vincentia HIgh School in the first game, which they easily won 42-6.
Matt Williams’ troops then quickly recovered before defeating Bomaderry High School 81-12 in the second game.
The team’s hot shooting continued in their third clash, smashing Shoalhaven High School by 28 points – with the final score of 43-15.
The final game, against Nowra High School, proved to be the closest, but the Ulladulla High School team still ran out victors at 54-30.
They won all four of their matches, by an average of 39.25 points – an amazing achievement.
The boys displayed outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship in their games.

The team, which contained Jonathan Taylor, Lachlan Emslie, Jack Chappell, Cameron Ellul, Joey Brookes, Thom Smith, Ziad El Tobgy, William Lovelock-Dodos and Cameron Pollett, will now play in the regional knockout in Wollongong on August 31.
In other Ulladulla High School sports news, both their open girls and boys touch football teams played their respective CHS qualifying finals recently.
The open girls played against Cronulla High School and unfortunately went down 5-4, while the boys defeated Muirfield High School 9-3.
The boys team will now play at the upcoming state finals in Bateau Bay.
