Rural Fire Service volunteers are on scene battling the fire, which started at about 12.50pm.
Smoke is heavy in the area.
Brad Collins, RFS duty officer, said the fire has burnt out 200 metres x 400 metres. Mostly grass but has made its way into the bush.
“Crews are getting it under control. There are a couple of small areas in the bush that they are having difficulty with but they are getting on top of it.
“It is on private property and no houses are under threat. There are no assets on the block at all.”
Twelve firefighters and four trucks are on site.
Mr Collins said no action was required by residents.
“If anyone is doing any pile burns today they may want to extinguish them because of the wind.”
There is no indication of how the fire started.
Meanwhile, a fire on Woodburn Road, Milton, which started on Friday morning is now under control.
