Applications for Infrastructure Projects under the Building Better Regions Fund close soon and Milton-Ulladulla community groups are being asked to put their ideas forward.
“The strongest applications will highlight the economic benefits of the project and show how it will create ongoing jobs and strengthen the local community,” Minister for Regional Development Fiona Nash said.
“We’ve already had notification of hundreds of applications, so only the very best will be funded.
“Local communities know which projects can build their region and create jobs and I can’t wait to see the completed applications when they come through.
“I aim to help build the kinds of communities our children and grandchildren either want to stay in or come back to, and delivering community-chosen projects to rural, regional and remote Australia will help do that.”
The Building Better Regions Fund follows the conclusion of the highly successful National Stronger Regions Fund, which delivered hundreds of projects across the nation.
Applications for the Infrastructure Projects Stream close on February 28, applications for the Community Investments Stream close on March 31; for more information visit www.business.gov.au/bbrf .
