With eight points on offer from this week forward, the two leaders at this stage – Shellharbour Sharks (24 points) and Jamberoo Superoos (22) – have the task ahead as Kiama Knights (22), Gerringong Lions (20), and Warilla Gorillas (19) only have to chase six points with byes up their sleeves.
This weekend’s round 15 starts has a major bearing on the ladder as new leaders Shellharbour Sharks (24) will be tested by Warilla Gorillas (19). There has to be a loser between the Gerringong Lions (20) and the Kiama Knights (22) in the match of the day of round 16 at Michael Cronin Oval on Saturday, August 5. Round 17 of the competition on August 13 will be riveting as the Sharks square off against Kiama while Jamberoo and Gerringong should down Stingrays and Albion Park respectively.
The big clash of the last round catches Jamberoo pitted against Gerringong at Jamberoo while Kiama has the bye and Warilla takes on Albion Park, while Shellharbour had better be wary of Port Kembla.
This Sunday at Mollymook Oval another battle will take place between the Bulldogs and the Berry Magpies in the first grade encounter. The Reserve grade clash should be an entertaining contest as Berry sits in eighth place while the Dogs are still hunting for their first kill.
Leaders Milton-Ulladulla (23) take on fourth-placed Berry Magpies (14) in the U18s match at 11.45am and the Doggies (22) third-placed WTL team get another whack at competition leaders, Kiama Knights (24).
