The review was announced in the wake of community outrage over a proposed office building in Parsons Street which would exceed the area’s height limit by 3.5 metres.
At three storeys, including an underground car park, the building would have been 11 metres tall, significantly higher than the current limit of 7.5 metres.
The building was approved, then disapproved, by council in March amid public backlash.
In late March council said it would review building heights in southern Ulladulla’s CBD, currently capped at 7.5 metres by the Shoalhaven Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2014.
The area under review is bounded by St Vincent Street, Parson Street, Burrill Street South, Jubilee Avenue, Deering Street and the Princes Highway.
The community workshop will discuss the proposed height revision options and obtain feedback from the Milton-Ulladulla community.
A council representative will present the proposed height options and provide time for the community to give feedback.
Council said the results of the review would be used to inform any changes to the area’s height limit.
The workshop will be held on Monday, July 31 from 1.30-4pm at the Ulladulla Civic Centre auditorium.
Registration for the workshop is required by Thursday, July 27.
To register or for further information on the workshop, contact Jenna Tague on (02) 4429 3553.
Council has engaged City Plan/Atlas Urban to undertake the review.
