The event is the brainchild of Barbara Whaley, who first saw cats enjoying yoga with her sister in Sydney.
Ms Whaley said the event is a great opportunity to enjoy a laugh while raising money for a great cause.
“I mean, who doesn’t love dogs, and add that together with yoga and you have a winner, don’t you,” she said.
“I have seen yoga done with cats before so I thought we should get it started in Ulladulla.”
Milton yoga instructor Chantal Pierce, who homed a rescue dog in March 2016, will host the hour-long Do-Ga session.
Ms Pierce expects the event to trigger a lot of laughs.
“I think people are going to have to come to the mat with an open heart and mind,” she said.
“The dogs are going to be on their leads on the day and I will be teaching and leading people through some yoga poses.
“The event is mainly about raising awareness for the South Coast Animal Rescue and hopefully some much needed funds.”
“I think it is a really really good idea,” said South Coast Animal Rescue founder Lynne Thurston.
“It is all about raising awareness for all rescue groups, they all need help and it is very important these dogs find a home.”
Do-Ga will cost $10 with 100 per cent of the proceeds given to South Coast Animal Rescue.
Organiser Barbara Whaley hopes local businesses will support the cause by donating for the raffle.
South Coast Animal Rescue has 14 dogs and a range of other animals including pigs, goats, cattle, horses and chickens which need homes.
