Competing at the NSW Masters Track and Field Championships, NSW Masters Weight Pentathlon and NSW Police Games, the experienced thrower collected three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
The medals were won in shot-put, discus, hammer-throw, weight-throw and javelin with 63-year-old Ms Jones overwhelmed with the support from family and friends.
“They are amazed and overjoyed at my achievements,” she said.
Ms Jones trains twice a week at Frogs Holla, Milton after never participating in athletics as junior.
With no plans to give up her throwing, she has set her aims on competing at the National Masters in 2018.
“With Masters, you can keep going as long as you are alive,” she said.
“I would love to participate in the next Masters.”
