Sam Zustovich won gold in the u15 male beach flags, edging out club mate Noah Hill, who had to settle for silver, with Newport’s Toby Newey in third. Zustovich backed this up with a silver medal in the u15 male beach sprint, which was won by club mate Keeghan Norwood. Zustovich and Norwood then teamed up with Noah Hill and Jordan Karakousis to take out the u15s beach relay, ahead of Manly and Newport.
The club enjoyed more relay success, as the u17s male team of Benjamin Hamill, Jarryd Murphy, Adam Newey and Brock Scrivener claimed silver behind winners Wanda.
Timothy Burgmann proved his class by winning gold in the u19s male beach sprint, before backing up and guiding the u19s male beach relay team to gold. He was joined by Benjamin Hamill, Adam Newey and Brent Manning on the team. Burgmann’s success didn’t end there, as he also claimed bronze in the u19s male beach flags.
Steine Lofts claimed bronze in the open male beach flags with club mate Brock Scrivener finishing in fourth. Scrivener took confidence from this fourth place though, going on to claim gold in the u17s male beach flags. Club mate Benjamin Hamill finished in fourth spot.
Other results included the Squid Jigs (Tessa Harris, Ebony Murray, Amy Pollard and Gemma Smith) finishing sixth in the female reserve grade boat and Adam Newy finishing sixth in the u17s male beach sprint.
