The community will have the opportunity to farewell their church with a “moving day” on Saturday, February 25.
All the church records will on display, including cradle rolls of baptism, members and marriage.
Ambient music will be performed, with refreshments served for all who wish to farewell.
An increase in costs and the need to be more visible were reasons behind the sale.
“Its obviously a difficult decision to make,” Reverend Tony Davies said.
“There is a lot of tradition and story linked with the site for many in the community, but we realise it’s the best decision for the people.
“The sale will enable us to develop our Ulladulla site; we intend to build a larger worship space at the existing building.”
The new home will be Uniting Church’s Outreach Centre, located on the Princes Highway at Ulladulla, which serves 700 to 1,000 customers each week.
The final church service will be held on Sunday, February 26.
