Ants are raiding kitchens, rats creeping through backyards and spiders are roaming in every dark corner.
Owner of Ulladulla Pest Control John Holden said it is normal behaviour during this time of year.
“Termites are one example of a constant presence during this time of year,” he said.
“The termites are just going all the time, and in summer they get really mobile.”
Narrawallee resident Lauren Wood has seen ants regularly occupy her dining room table in recent months, despite it being on the second storey of her home.
She said her first assumption was something innocent had been dropped by the kids.
“Your first thought is something has been spilled but the ants continued to come back no matter how spotless the table was,” she said.
“I didn't want to use pesticides on the dining room table, so I tried eucalyptus oil with no success.”
While AntRid finally removed the ant threat, ten red-back spiders were discovered on a outdoor shelf full of children's toys in the last week.
Mr Holden said it is the season when the spider population rises.
“It is the season for spiders to breed and multiply, so this is why people are seeing more whitetail and redback spiders around their home,” he said.
There is not much people can do to stop pests coming into the house.

Mr Holden said the weather also plays an important role in pests becoming increasingly visible.
“You only begin to see rats and mice when there has been a lot of cold, wet weather, which isn’t the case at the moment,” he said.
“There is not much people can do to stop pests coming into their home.
“My business is flat out at the moment, and unless you walk around with a swatter you are reasonably helpless.
“You can search around pot plants, double check shoes and spray bits and pieces but you can really only physically eliminate some of the pests.”
