The Yuukan members left for Melbourne, for what was a cold, wet and near freezing trip, however, the cold did not deter the Yuukan members, where again they showed great judo and again came home with more medals, more experience and more knowledge.
Blake winning gold in under 66kg cadet men, and Unfortunately hurting his hip and having to pull out of the junior men,
Michael winning silver in under 60kg cadet men,
Molly winning gold in under 63kg senior girls,
Amelie winning gold in the Under 48kg junior girls.
Riley was unfortunate not to medal in his division, but had some great bouts, this was to be Riley's last competition for a while, as he has now broken his leg and ankle at school so will miss out on the NSW International in September.
The Yuukan members have been fortunate to have members who travel from Wandandian to train under Sensei Chris and the state representatives, it was a great night to watch these members go through their grading and with great pleasure we were able to grade these members.
Where Paris de Casanove was graded to Orange Black Tip, Kyle Wilke was graded to Yellow Black Tip, Robert Wilke was graded to white/yellow, Ella Wilke was graded to white/yellow, Katelyn Weston was graded to white/yellow and Logan McNally was graded to white/yellow. Congratulations to these members who have been working hard through the JFA grading syllabus and were awarded with their new belts.
