The Ulladulla-Milton Lions Club is hoping to raise funds by auctioning off their popular Christmas cakes, complete with embellishments by local cake decorators.
The competition will offer a host of prizes in four categories for primary and high school students, novice and experienced cake decorators.
There will also be a professional category for display and auction purposes only.
Chris Hollott from the Lions Club said entry forms will be distributed to local schools from Monday October 21.
Entry forms will also be available from the Dunn Lewis Centre which is the central point for the competition which will commences on Friday November 1, with entries accepted at the centre from November 7 until December 7.
Mrs Hollott said a $10 deposit is to be paid for each Lions cake when the completed entry form is handed in.
She said the deposit would be refunded when the decorated cake is delivered back to the centre for judging.
The cakes will be judged on Friday December 13, with the winners announced the following day prior to the charity auction.
