We had a fantastic day with some fantastic results.
Yet Boone and Pia Hollywood, did awesome, it was their first major tournament and they were both strong, they used great technique and they will grow with the experience of competing against other competitors.
Amelie Gautier fought extremely well, she was extremely strong in her fights and she dominated her opponent.
Michael Haughey also fought extremely well, although was sick from a HUGE breakfast he also managed to stay on top of his opponents.
Blake Nolan refereed the junior divisions in the morning, but he had a tough first fight against an English Black belt, he just lost that fight and then had to fight in a repechage to stay up the top.
We had a great "support team", thanks everyone who stayed and cheered for all the kids, it shows great comradeship.
Amelie Gautier is the 2014 NSW State Champion (Gold medal).
Pia Hollywood won the silver medal.
Yet Boone unfortunately missed out on a placing.
Michael Haughey is the 2014 NSW State Champion (Gold medal).
Blake Nolan won the silver medal.
Congratulations to all the Yuukan Judo Clubs.
You were all great competitors, we are extremely proud of how you all conduct yourselves in tournaments on and off the mat.
