Ulladulla Public School’s 2015 dance troupe has taken out first place for the second year in a row at the City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod.
The troupe consisted of 25 students from years 3-6.
Against competitive dance troupes from Illaroo to Batemans Bay, the UPS students performed their RESPECT piece with outstanding feedback from both adjudicators and eisteddfod organisers.
Adjudicator, Jenn Wilm commended the troupe on their beautiful smiles, energy level, presentation, choreography and stunning costumes.
Eisteddfod organisers praised the Ulladulla Public School troupe, stating they were the most disciplined dance troupe they have ever seen entered by any public school.
The UPS dancers have now been invited to perform at the annual Stars Concert at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre on June 20.
“This is a huge credit to the girls’ performance and the beautiful manner in which they conducted themselves on and off stage at the eisteddfod” said UPS dance teacher, Miss Newman.
“It will be an incredible opportunity for our students to perform in a professional show with a much larger stage and audience,” she said.
The annual Stars Concert features the very best vocal, instrumental, dance, speech and drama performances by contestants in the eisteddfod.
Tickets are available to the public via the Shoalhaven Entertainment Box Office.
