Milton-Ulladulla Polocrosse Club had four junior players picked to be part of teams representing Southern Highlands at the NSW zone championships at Coolah in August.
Toni Murray, Nathan Shea, Dana Shea and Drew Morton played great games and the experience and knowledge they gained was a fantastic opportunity for all of them.
Congratulations to all, with a special mention to Nathan who made the reserve squad for the NSW State Team for this year's Australian Nationals to be held in Albury in April.
Nathan has also been chosen to represent NSW Juniors in New Zealand. This competition is only for under 16's, against the best NSW and New Zealand have to offer.
He flew out on Tuesday, January 19, to stay with his host family, and will be competing over two consecutive weekends.
The first carnival for the year will be at Braidwood on March 12-13. We are all looking forward to the new season, with new members joining and old members catching up to play some great polocrosse. Milton-Ulladulla polocrosse will hold its own carnival at Worrigee Common on May 7-8.
Congratulations to the following for their awards at the end of last season’s play. Best junior player, Nathan Shea; Most improved junior, Toni Murray; Most improved senior player, Heath Cole; Club person, Barb Anderson; Best horse and rider combination, Nathan Shea; Rising star, Luke Wilford.
