There’ll be no shortage of those famous scones at the South Shoalhaven Meals of Wheels morning tea on Monday, May 23.
The centre will host an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event, with everyone in the community invited to attend.
With home-baked goodies and endless pots of teas, clients and volunteers from the Monday Meals on Wheels Social Group are looking forward to bringing young and old together for the morning as a reminder that cancer is a journey no-one should go through alone.
Come along and support the cause, and remember every cup counts in order to fund vital cancer research, support and education services for the one in two Australians diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
The morning tea will be held on Room 3, 82 St Vincent Street from 10.30am to 11.45am. Entry is a $5 donation.
Southern Shoalhaven Meals on Wheels offers offering social support, in the form of home visits, accompanied outings and social groups, to the area’s isolated, frail aged or lonely members of the community.
Providing friendship, activities, outings and laughter, the three different social groups run fortnightly and offer clients residing between Lake Conjola and Tabourie the opportunity to enjoy the company of others, share stories and have fun, whilst also enjoying a morning tea and hearty cooked lunch.
