Mollymook Bowling Club Fishing Club members could not have had better weather for their May competition.
The kingies were certainly on for Reschinda Moran who bagged a beauty, a beat-the-board speciman of 10.670kg on her first trip outside. She also backed it up with an impressive catch of flathead and a leatherjacket which gave her the biggest catch of the day and the Tutty award.
Sandra Milroy showed the boys on club president Warren Craft’s boat how it was done once again with an impresive catch of snapper and flathead.
Don Crotty weighed in a nice bag of flathead and a beat-the-board .970kg pig fish. Julian Sharrad fished the beach for a catch of big salmon and tailor; among them was a beat-the-board 2.305kg salmon and a .735kg tailor.
Bob Graham put a huge catch of morwong, pig fish and flathead on the scales with one of his morwong giving him the secret weight award. Everyone that fished weighed in a respectable catch.
