Last Saturday at Ulladulla Sports Park the Ulladulla Zauner Dockers took on the league leaders the Wollongong Lions in what was thought to be the game of the round.
Straight form the bounce it was obvious that the Zauner Dockers wanted the ball a lot more than the Lions. Out the back handballs, desperation plus and the Dockers consistently driving the ball forward at every opportunity, left the Lions gobsmacked from the get go!
This set the story of the game while the Lions had no answers for the rioting Dockers. A great team effort by the local boys in a make or break game for the club in 2016.
The final score was Dockers 19-4-118 to Wollongong Lions 3-1-19.
Next week the Zauner Dockers will travel to Bomaderry to take on the Tigers in what should be an interesting game for the local boys.
With another three key players returning for the Dockers, spots will be tightly contested at training from now on.
