Happy Feet walkers, had an enjoyable day in May, bush walking in the Morton National Park.
The grouped walked to Florence Head and although hazard reduction activities caused the air to become quite hazy, the views were stunning.
It was soon time for walkers to make their way back to the cars, and a short drive to Pointer Gap Lookout for a picnic lunch which concluded an enjoyable day.
Happy Feet regulars, Ron Smith and Susanne Short, did a wonderful job of organising the day, and indicated there were more Sunday walks being planned.
The Happy Feet Walking Group is part of the Heart Foundations’ walking for health program and anyone who is new to the area, or just looking for a friendly group to join is welcome to come along.
Walks are now held five times a week Monday-Friday at 7.50am with coffee after each Friday’s walk. Details of the walks are available in the Times Community Diary, or alternatively contact Dorothy or Tony on 44556162
