It was a sea of blankets at Shoalhaven Anglican School at their annual Cinema Under the Stars event recently.
More than $1500 dollars was raised on the night for the Milton Hospital renal unit to help purchase items required for dialysis patients.
The night kicked off with live music from Mid Life Crises which got feet tapping and plenty of jumping castle action thanks to Rotary.
Homemade food including warm donuts from the Lions Club, soup, hot beef rolls, cupcakes and cookies kept tummies full and helped raise funds. As Happy Feet began to play on the big screen, the popcorn was devoured.
The Hospital Auxiliary also held a raffle on the night.
This is the third year SAS has held the event, organised by the P&F and teachers as well as the volunteers who showed great community spirit.
“I think the kids get a real kick out of the fact that it is night time and they are still out,” said organiser Josie Carter.
“We owe huge thanks to the Lions Club, Rotary and Auxiliary as the night would not have been the same without them,” she said.
