Local rugby league fans are encouraged to join the South Coast Men of League Foundation committee at their 2016 AGM on Monday, June 27, at 6.30pm at the Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
The South Coast committee is looking for more members and volunteers willing to help in the Men of League Foundation’s mission to be the charity of rugby league and ensure that those who are doing it tough within the rugby league community receive the help and assistance that they require.
Chairman of the Foundation, Ron Coote, serves with rugby league icon George Piggins as joint Patrons of the local committee.
“Rugby league is really part of the fabric of who we are as a community in the South Coast region and it would be wonderful to see more people get involved and help those who may need assistance in hard times,” Mr Coote said. “We provide assistance and support not just to those who play the game, but also the volunteers and their families who are all essential members of the rugby league family.”
