We have some fantastic results to report for our members, who represented zone 28, at the recent PCANSW combined state championships in Camden. This event brought together riders from not only NSW but also Queensland and Victoria, setting a very high standard in each discipline.

In the show jumping we had Jack and his power house pony, Prince, competing in the B grade events. Over the two days of competition this duo performed brilliantly to make it through to every jump off and finish with the following placings: AM5 – seventh; Accumulator- ninth, AM5 – ninth and 10th in the Grand Prix.
Flying the flag for zone 28 in the show riding we had Annie and her lovely pony Jack. In the Under 10 division Annie and Jack worked well together to place fifth in both their riding and bareback classes.
The equitation classes followed, with Ella competing in the Under 13 section and Jasmine in the under 13 and 15 divisions. Ella and Lilly produced some lovely rounds to receive very positive comments from the judges, proving this combination have a very bright future together. Jasmine and Pi also completed some accurate, rhythmic rounds and finished the event with a sixth place on the first day of competition.
In the dressage we had Rachael and her super pony, Toby, competing in the Under 13 age group. Rachael rode beautifully in both tests for a fourth and ninth place taking them to fourth in the overall point score.
Congratulations to you all, we are so proud of your achievements at this level of competition and well done for all the hard work that you put into your preparation for this event.
A special thank you from the organisers to Jack for working so hard when he wasn’t riding, it was much appreciated.
Also braving the elements last week were Phoebe and Kyle, who spent a week at the Young Pony Club annual camp. Both riders had a fantastic time with the variety of instruction on offer and catching up with friends from other clubs.
Details for our next rally will be confirmed ASAP, see you all soon. Happy riding.
