Kiama Coastal Classic - Sunday, July 10:

Last Sunday, Josie Hollywood ran in the 15km Kiama Coastal Classic from Gerringong to Kiama. This is a beautiful, but undulating and uneven track, which is often narrow, with challenging footing. Josie completed this course in an excellent time of 1.28.27, to come 14th in her age group (F40-44).
Local running - Sunday, July 10:
A mild, calm and overcast start, for about a dozen RATS last Sunday. The run started at the tennis courts on Lake Conjola, Entrance Road. The group headed west and shortly turned left into Narrawallee Creek Road and around the Buckleys Point Trail bush circuit. Some added an extra out and back, from Buckleys Point to Narrawallee Inlet, and a number ran sections of Conjola Beach. A few also finished with a tour around Lake Conjola flat.
Distances varied from eight to 19km, with most doing between 12 and 15km.
It was a scenic run, with frogs croaking and ducks swimming in all the extra ground water and running creeks.
Running next Saturday - July 16:
One of the RATS veteran runners is keen to test himself out on the very fast Batemans Bay parkrun course. Anyone who is keen to run or support, please meet at Maccas car park at 6.30am for transport to Batemans Bay.
There is a cafe right next to the parkrun start / finish area called JJ's at The Marina. A number of RATS will be testing this out after the race - all welcome.
