THE Milton-Ulladulla U7s, their families and a few extras travelled to Penrith as guests of the NRL Panthers for their match against the Sharks on Sunday.
They were met by Panthers officials who escorted them to the $25 million Rugby League Academy which is located at the back of the leagues club. The tour included their state of the art boardroom, the U20s and first grade locker rooms, the spa and ice bath room, the first grade gym, their IT learning centre and lots of Penrith memorabilia and legends.
After the tour, the boys, who were originally going to form a guard of honour, were offered to chance to run out with the Panthers on to the field. So decked out in the 2016 strip, the boys went to the sheds with Matt and Peter to get themselves ready. The ground announcer then gave a little overview on the club and its history and then in a very proud moment as the U7s team photo appeared on the big screen running on to the field. We would like to thank the Penrith Panthers RLC and Matthew Williams for this experience.
