An Ulladulla man has confessed to punching holes in his bathroom door in a fit of anger sparked by his inability to find his socks.
Raymond Maling, 25, pleaded guilty in Milton Local Court to charges of intimidation, malicious damage and breaching an apprehended violence order stemming from the July 27 incident.
The court heard Maling woke around 2pm and asked his partner what was for breakfast.
“There’s not much but we could go and get something from the shops,” she said.
Maling then began searching for his socks in preparation to leave the house.
A short time later he started to bang on the bedroom door asking the victim “where’s my socks,” to which she replied “look in the washing basket.”
Maling snapped and began to yell at the victim, calling her “useless" and "lazy” and told her, “you don’t clean.”
Maling then went into the bathroom and the victim took him some socks.
He again yelled at the woman and punched the rear of the bathroom door causing two holes.
Mailing was sentenced to a 12 month good behaviour bond.
