The Milton Buddhist Centre are running a fundraiser for the Dunn Lewis centre to raise money for the completion of the auditorium which is almost in the final stages.
This venue will be a hub for local musicians and performing artists.
The completion of the auditorium will be such a land mark for the community, Gale Dunn and all those who have so generously contributed to the project over the years since the Bali bombings.
It tells a story of overcoming adversity through perseverance and a vision to transform tragedy into something that will benefit others.
The Milton Buddhist Centre has a visiting Buddhist master, Lama Choedak Rinpoche coming to the area and have arranged for him to do a public talk and fundraiser at the Dunn Lewis Centre on November 11 at 7pm. All proceeds will be donated to the completion of the auditorium.
The title of the talk will be 'How to find Balance in Life.'
This is a topic that can benefit people of all ages from all walks of life.
Rinpoche is one of the most recognised and respected Tibetan Buddhist Masters living in Australia today . His talks are full of insight warmth and humour.
In the talk he will outline the benefits and balancing effect that practicing mindfulness and meditation can bring to life .
Investing too much energy in outer circumstances while neglecting ones inner state of mind and emotions can often cause unwanted effects of stress depression and anxiety.
We hope to reach out to people of all ages, in particular hoping to also connect with younger people who may regularly use the Dunn Lewis Centre.
