At the last meeting of the War Widows Guild the guest speaker was Rose Brown of Milton Ulladulla Nursing Agency who gave an informative talk on what is available through the Agency.
All the nursing services are completed within the home of the client and the non-nursing services are such things as grocery shopping, home cleaning and paying bills etc.
On October 4, the group attended the Regional Luncheon for the 70th Birthday War Widow’s Guild of Australia at the Mollymook Golf Club.
There were members there from Nowra, Bay and Basin, Sussex Inlet, Batemans Bay and Moruya. It was great to welcome new faces and reconnect with others.
Our sincere thanks goes to Barbara Jeanes, Lesley Mann and Barbara Pittaway from Head Office for organising such a successful day.
Our next meeting will be on October 27 at Kendall Cottage and there will be lunch commencing at noon. Please bring salads, cakes or slices etc.
Also bring a plate, knife and fork. The meeting will commence at 1.30pm.
Payments for the RSL Luncheon at the Civic Centre and our Christmas Luncheon at Masquerades, Tabourie Motor Inn are to be paid at this meeting.
