Ulladulla’s favourite band The Swaggers will launch their first, all original, EP Frozen Butterflies at The Star Hotel, Milton on Friday, November 11.
Every Swaggers public show has been a huge event and this night will be no different after the band was booked to play the launch over a year ago.
“It’s always amazing to play in front of the home crowd and we wanted to make this show special for our loyal fans,” Band leader Shaun Wessell said.
“So what better than to release our EP at the place where it all started.”
Recorded and mixed locally before being sent away for post-production, the EP was inspired by South Coast life, family and the wedding scene; where the band is renowned for performing.
The EP drew its name from a wedding fad that has caught their attention.
“You can buy a box of frozen butterflies, thaw them out and release them as your walking down the aisle,” said Shaun.

Being booked out up to two years in advance for weddings, parties and corporate events, The Swaggers only do a few public shows a year and will celebrate the evening with their ubiquitous brand of groove, that will have you singing and dancing the night away.
The band will be ably supported by Brothers featuring Ben McInerney formerly of New Navy paired with some of Ulladulla’s finest musos including Tim Thomson; this band is quickly gaining a following with their bright reggae-rock versions of classic tunes.
If you can’t make the night, a Pre-Launch Brunch will be held at The Treehouse Café on Friday, November 11 from 11:11am. Grab your friends, coffee and cake, and come chill as “Frozen Butterflies” gets its first public airing in the courtyard.
The Swaggers and Brothers @ The Star Milton, Friday 11th November from 7pm, entry is free.
