Mollymook is set to shine this weekend as the state surf boat carnival pulls into town for the 10th year running.
The competition will see 280 competitors from 24 clubs across the South Sydney district participating.
Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club will have three crews rowing.
“One ladies crew, one men’s reserve crew and one masters crew,” Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club boat caption Barry Page said.
“We have only just started and this is our first carnival.”
Barry is hopeful this week’s good weather will continue into the weekend.
“If it’s like this it’ll be alright and a bit of a wave on hopefully,” he said.
The competition field is tight and it is set to be a ‘one or two point in it’ race.
The spectacular event pulls a good crowd and locals are encouraged to come along and the cheer the teams on.
