The final of the Monday night men’s comp was played in perfect conditions last Monday.
Kev’s Team (Kevin Murphy, Adam Meades, Brock Pearse and Isaiah Lewis for John Lincoln) were the winners over competition leaders Riley’s Team (Riley White, Paul Woodcock, Rohan Smith and Mitch White).
The playoff for third place was between Ty’s Team (Ty Pleasance, Mark Rejc, Josh Clough and John Bryant and Dave’s Team (Dave Kneeshaw, Steve Watts, Jack Metzler and Joel Nunn) with Dave’s team claiming the bronze medal.
The next comp will start again on January 30. New players welcome and we hope to see John Lincoln back again.
New Deck and Barbecue Area
Work has already started on the construction of a new deck and barbecue area between the ramp and court 3. This work will continue throughout the holiday period with the aim to have it finished before the seniors tournament in February. Please take care around this construction site.
Kev’s Holiday Coaching Clinic
Looking for fun activities to keep the kids occupied during the holidays? Why not consider Kev's tennis camps. This is a fun morning for all the kids and their friends to learn how to play tennis and have a swim at the leisure centre.
The last one before Christmas is tomorrow (Thursday) from 9am – 1pm, then there will be three more clinics in January. Phone 0417 359 721.
Free synthetic grass
There are still some rolls of synthetic turf available from the resurfacing of courts 8 and 9 for members and friends to collect for free. Bring your ute, trailer or van to collect it anytime.
The new courts are playing extremely well and players are asked to use them as much as possible to wear them in for the Seniors Tournament in February.
Social Tennis
Organised social tennis matches are now in recess until January but don’t forget that any community, social, sporting or family groups are welcome to book a few courts at anytime for their own use. You don’t have to be a club member to do this. If you’re having visitors during the holiday period why not bring them to the Ulladulla or Milton courts for a hit of tennis.
For casual court hire there is no need to book, we rely on everyone’s honesty to place the required fee in a safe with their details. Just walk up the ramp near the clubhouse and follow the instructions to pay before you play. The cost is only $10 per hour per court for members and $15 per hour for non-members. Add another $5 per hour if playing under lights.
Christmas wishes to all players and supporters.
