Representatives from the Milton Rural Fire Service, Ulladulla State Emergency Service and Australian Red Cross have been invited to give a talk at a Yurana Cancer Kids Holiday Homes meeting on April 13.
Red Cross Emergency Services team leader Margaret Peppitt will talk alongside SES and RFS leaders about the need to be prepared in the case of an emergency.
“It is the first time ever in Australia that the SES, RFS and Red Cross are all on the same page sending out this very important message,” she said.
“We want to try and help people who may be isolated and don’t have a lot of communication with others.
“We don’t want people to panic if they are asked to leave their homes.”
