FORMER Milton-Ulladulla Bulldog Jack Murchie has capped off a sensational season on the rugby league field by being named in the 2017 National Youth Competition team of the year.

Murchie, who also spent a season playing for Gerringong, has had a massive season for the Canberra Raiders, which saw him selected in the Junior Kangaroos side, which defeated the Junior Kiwis, before playing an integral role in the NSW under 20s victory against Queensland – being named man of the match.
In his 19 games for the Raiders, Murchie scored eight tries, made 217 runs for 2262 metres, had nine line-breaks, 52 tackle breaks, four try assists and made 435 tackles.
On the back of this success, Murchie progressed to finishing the season off playing in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW with the Mounties – which were eliminated by Illawarra at the weekend.
