Occupation: Former mayor, high school science teacher and cattle farmer.
Suburb: Yatte Yattah.
Years in the area: “Val and I moved here in 1972. We had lived all around the state. We had been appointed to Milton Central School and then it moved down to the high school in Ulladulla in 1976. We transferred there and then Val and I retired together and bought the property here and decided to breed cattle.”
Fun fact: “We showed a Sydney Royal for 25 years straight. I was the president of our breed society. Also, I was on council for 19 years and spent 12 of them as mayor.”
Hobbies/interests: “Following the dispersal of cattle in 2012 we decided to grow roses as a hobby. Now we show at not only the local agricultural shows, but the rose shows.”
My favourite place is: “Sitting on my veranda overlooking the garden and the bush.”
