The event sees the region’s up and coming performers battle it out on stage at Australia Day celebrations in Mollymook to win the prestigious award.
Eight finalists will be selected from the auditions to compete for prize.
Ulladulla Milton Lions Club secretary Allan McDonald encouraged young performers to enter.
“We have auditions coming up, but we need people who wish to participate to apply,” he said.
“Applications are open to people aged up to 18 years, who live between Bendalong and East Lynne.
“We’ve had wonderful musicians come through and some who have gone onto the music conservatorium and to qualify for degrees in music.”
Musicians will be vying for a total prize pool of $3,500 – the winner will receive $2000, second place $1000 and third place $500.
“If they are entertainers, whether they sing, play an instrument or are in a group, they should apply,” he said.
The auditions will be held at Milton Theatre from 3-6pm on December 21 and the community is welcome to attend.
