The award is present for the best written story published in either the June or December Pigeon House Tidings journal.
This year there were a total of 16 stories published.
“Catherine Innes Sinclair” written by Pamela Johnson was the winner.
It is an excellent story and can be viewed on the group’s website www.mufhsi.org in the June 2017, PHT journal, number 44.
Also, three highly recommended certificates were given to members for their stories.
Cheryl Stokes received the accolade for her story “The Stokes Family – A Journey to Australia” issue number 45, Julie Gullan for “Boyden to Boyde” issue number 45 and John Sparks for “Made his Mark” issue number 44.
Congratulations went out to all at the event.
The society will now be closed over the Christmas festive season and will re-open again on Monday January 15, 2018.
The group look forward to another fun year and welcome all who wish to either visit or join the society.
