The society will start a year of exciting meetings at their old home, The Berry School of Arts.
The first lecture will feature Paul Atterbury, the well-known celebrity from Antiques Roadshow. He will explore the lasting impact of the new style of domestic homes and gardens, while emerged at the end of the Victorian era.
He will speak on Thursday, February 8 from 7.30pm at the school of arts on Alexandra Street, Berry.
Meanwhile, Christopher Bradley will take lecture attendees on a tour from Morocca to China, looking at religious and non-religious influences on Islamic Art, on Thursday, February 22 from 7.30pm, also at the school of arts.
Bradley will take the lecture on a through some of the most important cities, sites and museums in the world.
New members and visitors are welcome. After the lecture there is always wine, supper and the opportunity to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. Membership is available for $140.00 per year or visitors can pay $25.00 at the door for each lecture.
