The Milton Show Society Amatuer Home Brew Beer and Wine Making Competition is the place for you.
The annual event will be held at the Milton Show on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3.
Organiser Keith Coulston said everyone is invited to place an entry.
“We are obviously looking for ‘sleepers’ – that is the beer, wine, and spirit home brewers who are not sure if their product is good enough to enter our competition,” he said.
“It is amazing how many people brew at home.
“Many first timers who have tried have been pleasantly surprised and at the conclusion of the show the judges provide a detailed analysis of how they performed at the Saturday afternoon public tastings.”
All brewers must be over 18. There will be a novice award for new entries.
John Hozack will be Chief Steward, Mitch White will be in charge of beer and miscellaneous tastings and John Payne will oversee the wine and spirits section.
There will also be many varieties of non alcoholic brews to be judged. Keith said the ginger beer is a favourite.
“This is a very social event and a lot of fun,” he said.
