Another important issue surfaced this week, with Rebecca Cameron highlighting the need for highway safety improvements between Burrill Lake and Nowra, a stretch of road used by women in labour on their way to hospital.
Attracting interest far and wide this week was Lake Conjola where hundreds of dead fish were found on Tuesday morning, leaving residents speculating as to the cause. The lake has been closed for several weeks, following dredging in early 2016.
Meanwhile, Shoalhaven sporting clubs were shocked to be slapped with power bills of up to $11,800 from the council. Many face bills of about $7000 for winter use only.
On Wednesday, April 25, we mark an important day. Anzac Day services will be held in Milton, Ulladulla, Kioloa and Lake Conjola.
