At the start on April, Sullivan was in Hong Kong, where she helped her Illawarra under 16s sevens team finish fourth at the All Girls Rugby Tournament.
“I loved being able to go over to Hong Kong and to play in an international competition was incredible – I loved every seconded of it,” Sullivan said.
Upon her return, Sullivan and her Illawarra under 17s 15s side headed to the Central Coast, from May 4-6, for the country champs.
“During two-day tournament, we played four games and won every game and were undefeated champions by the end of the weekend,” she said.
“It was a fun weekend – I loved playing with the girls.”
On the back of this success, Sullivan, who also plays league tag for the Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs, was selected for the under 17s NSW Country side.
“I’m very lucky to get this opportunity as being named in the team – I wasn’t expecting it at all,” she said.
“This will be a great opportunity for me, as I will get to learn more skills and grow as a player.”
Sullivan’s NSW Country side will have training games in Canberra, Sydney and Bathurst before the City vs Country game in Tamworth (August 4-5).
Joining Sullivan in the Country side are Illawarra team mates Maddison Weatherall, Camelia Lotoaatu, Keeley Kopara, Koniseti Tinao and Viena Tinao.
