Brad Parker pleaded guilty at his first appearance in Milton Local Court on Thursday, May 10.
The 26-year-old was also fined $1500 and was ordered to fit an interlock for 24 months for his high-range drink driving conviction.
Papers tendered to the court stated an informant alerted police of a white Subaru seen near road works along Bendalong Road about 10.10pm on March 17.
The informant believed the occupants were responsible for the road barriers and witches hats being placed across the road in numerous places along the roadworks, blocking the road.
Police were moving the first barrier when they heard a vehicle coming towards them at a slow speed.
Police stopped the vehicle and noticed signs of intoxication. The accused said “we were being stupid, we moved the barriers and witches hats onto the road”.
At Ulladulla Police Station Parker blew a high-range reading and stated he had consumed 12 beers between 2pm and 10pm that day.
