The male driver was caught doing 149 km/h on the Princes Highway, when he is limited to just 90 km/h.
NSW Traffic and Highway Patrol posted about the incident on their Facebook page, saying the man was on his way to an apprenticeship job appointment.
“This morning South Coast Highway Patrol were on their way to speak at a young drivers forum about youths getting their licence,” the post read.
“Ironically, on the way there a red P-plate driver was stopped for doing 149km/h when he is limited to 90km/h.
“He was late for a apprenticeship job appointment. Suffice to say, the job probably won't be offered to him without a licence. #hardlesson.”
