Fundraiser a huge success
A great night was held at the Mollymook Golf club on Tuesday, May 15 when guest motivational speaker and child advocate, Dr Michael Davey enthralled everyone with his amazing story of his 14,000 kilometre bike ride around Australia, which raised $40,000 for the Kids with Cancer charity appeal.

Rob Powell entertained everyone as he auctioned Aboriginal paintings and a specially painted letter opener donated by NAIDOC as well as cakes donated by Rotarians Ali and Evie. Super Cheap Auto donated a car lovers prize package which was raffled along with a hamper donated by IGA Milton. Thanks also to the Times newspaper for promoting the event which was open to the public. As a result $1,500 has been donated by Rotary to the Kids with Cancer Appeal.

Keep SAS as a school
I write in response to the ongoing sale negotiations by the The Anglican Schools Corporation (TASC) for the Shoalhaven Anglican School site in Milton.
I would like to appeal to the Chairman Mr Tony Willis, and the board of TASC to keep this site as a school facility for the use of local children, not for it to be sold to the highest bidder with no interest in our town or our community.
I implore those concerned in the TASC to consider the immense amount of time and money this community and the NSW Government has invested into this site - and make a decision that is not just based on money alone.
Without this site being available to our local children, they will wait a whole lot longer for a suitable school, and as such will continue to be crammed into an overcrowded high school site that is now the second largest in the State.
Over 8000 local people have signed a petition for the State government to purchase the site - and our local member Shelley Hancock is keen to commence negotiations - we just need the TASC to at least give us a chance! Our children, and our community, deserve better. I encourage everyone to write to the TASC to request they give our kids a go!

Boree Street debacle
When is something going to be done about the amount of traffic in Boree Street?
Today I was walking up Coles ramp and watched a young man who was trying to get into the back seat of a car get hit by another passing car. The driver ran over the young mans foot, so how close was this driver going to parked cars? What is it going to take for something to be done? Or is it going to take a person or persons to be killed or seriously injured before something is done?
There should be no parking in Boree Street at all. It should also be made into a one-way street. The speed that drivers go up and down that street is out of control. And the mayhem that is around the top of the street between Aldi, Woolworths and other businesses is an accident just waiting to happen. It's only going to get worse. So do something about it now before there is a fatality.

Entertainers put on a great show
What a great show put on by the Milton Ulladulla Entertainers. It brings back memories of the old days.
I guess Pattie was looking down on you, and saying how great you all were. It was truly a Pattie Yates show. I think Georgia Sadler deserves recognition, she was wonderful. I hope she keeps up the good work.
Those kids voices; they are magical and sent goosebumps down us all.
K. Ling, Ulladulla.
