On Friday, two NSW ambulance crews and police were alerted about 11.50am to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car at the Princes Highway and Parson Street intersection.
On Saturday, a NSW Ambulance spokesman said the man was airlifted to the Kogarah hospital after he was removed from the scene by ambulance.
“He had lacerations to his head, abdominal pain and lower-leg fractures,” the NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
“He was otherwise conscious, breathing and alert.”
Northbound traffic on the highway at the roundabout was stopped while the man was treated at the scene.
The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District’s media unit has been contacted for an update on the man’s condition.
